Dear Friend of SIMC,

As the fourth quarter of 2022 gets underway, the Singapore International Mediation Centre enters its busiest time of the year! We have events coming up in South Korea and Japan, bookended by major events in Singapore. We had a busy  hosting guests at our two events, speaking at others and reconnecting with valued partners who were able to come to Singapore, thanks to the easing of pandemic travel restrictions. About 4,000 lawyers and in-house counsel from 100 countries attended in-person and online the total of 25 dispute resolution-related events which took place around Singapore.

In that same week, we  from our South Korea (June) and Singapore (July) workshops, invited our Chairman, George Lim SC, and opposing counsel, Gregory Williams and Sae Youn Kim from the US and South Korea respectively, to talk about , and also hosted 30 Association of Corporate Counsel Singapore Chapter members for their ! (Related tip: weave mediation into your contract's dispute resolution clause ‒ SIMC has been seeing a rise in regional executive employment disputes coming for mediation.)

Just last week, we ran an SIMC Accredited Mediators Workshop at Maxwell Chambers for 24 participants from Sri Lanka and Maldives, including Supreme Court and High Court Judges, an Attorney General, judicial officers, senior legal practitioners, engineers and corporate professionals.
