George Lim is Chairman of the Singapore International Mediation Centre. He is a Senior Counsel, and was President of the Law Society of Singapore between 1998-1999. He has mediated over 800 disputes.

George is the co-editor of Mediation in Singapore: A Practical Guide. He was Singapore’s mediation consultant to UNCITRAL Working Group II, which led to the adoption of the Singapore Convention on Mediation.

In October 2019, he was appointed to the Roster of Panel Chairs of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) on Dispute Settlement.

In 2021, George was named by The International Who’s Who of Commercial Mediation as a global thought leader in mediation.

With over 30 years of legal experience, Kevin has acted as counsel, presiding arbitrator, co-arbitrator or sole arbitrator in more than 300 cases of international arbitrations under various arbitration rules. Presently, he is involved in several investment and commercial arbitrations.

Among other positions that he holds, Kevin is an Advisory Board Member of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), the Chairman of the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board’s (KCAB) International Arbitration Committee.

Yun Jae is the chair of the International Dispute Resolution Team at Yulchon and qualified to practice in both Korea and New York. He is considered one of Korea’s top lawyers in the areas of international arbitration, M&A, aviation, and general corporate practice having acquired expert knowledge and experience for over 30 years. Currently, He serves as arbitrator for many arbitral institutions including the KCAB, KLRCA and ICC.

Steve has extensive experience in the field of international arbitration, and served as the Director of the International Centre for Dispute Resolution of the American Arbitration Association (New York). During his tenure at ICDR, he helped to grow the ICDR to become the global number one international arbitration administration center.

He has been invited to speak in numerous conferences to speak about business management, technology, IP and other issues in various countries including China and Denmark.

Joel Richardson is a Partner at Kim & Chang and leads the firm’s North American Arbitration Desk. He has extensive experience representing clients and sitting as arbitrator in arbitrations administered by a wide variety of institutions including ICC, LCIA, SIAC, HKIAC, KCAB, AAA and CAS as well as ad hoc arbitrations, and seated in a diverse range of jurisdictions, including Seoul, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, Paris, Geneva, New York, Zurich and Lausanne.

Joel’s arbitration experience has covered a broad range of fields, including mergers and acquisitions, pharmaceuticals, energy, construction and engineering, outbound investment, joint ventures, sales of goods and intellectual property licensing. He regularly advises Korean parties regarding litigation in the United States and advises foreign clients regarding Korean court litigation in conjunction with Kim & Chang’s Korean licensed attorneys.

Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Joel served as a judicial clerk to Judge William D. Stiehl of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, and practiced commercial litigation with Arnold & Porter in Washington, D.C. and New York, where he gained extensive experience in all phases of litigation in federal and state trial and appellate courts.

Robert Wachter is co-head of the International Arbitration Team at Lee & Ko. He has acted as counsel, arbitrator or arbitral secretary in more than 100 international arbitration cases over the last 10 years brought under all of the major arbitration rules, including the ICC, KCAB, VIAC, Swiss Chambers, SIAC, LCIA, SCC, JCAA and UNCITRAL arbitration rules. He has been recognized as a leading practitioner by Chambers and Partners, Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal, and Who’s Who-Thought Leaders.

Robert has extensive experience in both common law and civil law jurisdictions. He began his career as a law clerk to the Hon. Samuel P. King, Senior United States District Judge for the District of Hawaii and later worked at the San Francisco office of O’Melveny & Myers LLP, where he was promoted to Counsel before moving abroad to Korea in 2004. From 2011 to 2014 Mr. Wachter worked in Austria at Graf & Pitkowitz, an arbitration boutique firm based in Vienna before returning to Korea in 2014. He worked in the international arbitration practice group at Kim & Chang before joining Lee & Ko as the co-head of the practice in 2015.

Mimi is a Partner and Head of Korea Desk at Focus Law Asia. She is a Korean national called to the Singapore bar making her one of just a handful of Koreans who is fully qualified to practice Singapore law. Mimi’s practice focuses on cross-border litigation, international arbitration and mediation. She has represented clients in international arbitration under various institutional rules seated in major arbitration venues such as New York and Singapore. Mimi also regularly appears in Singapore High Court for various civil and commercial matters. Mimi has appeared as counsel in a number of mediations held in Singapore and is empanelled under SIMC as one of the Specialist Mediators under the Korean chapter.

David MacArthur is a specialist in international arbitration and is Co-head of the firm’s International Arbitration practice. He acts as counsel and as arbitrator.

After an early start in US litigation, David has primarily practiced in international arbitration for nearly two decades. Since joining a globally ranked arbitration practice in East Asia in 2006, David has represented clients in dozens of international arbitrations across Asia, Europe and North America in a wide variety of complex and high-stakes disputes. These have included many different industry sectors such as automotive and aircraft, life sciences and medical, shipbuilding and construction, online gaming and telecommunications, and other areas.

Frequently commended for his adept handling of technical and engineering issues, David has also acquired the critical “soft skills” of proficiency in the cultures, languages and legal systems of East Asia.

David has been named as one of the “Top 100 lawyers in Japan” by Asia Business Law Journal, and is regularly recognized in Chambers and Partners, Who’s Who Legal, The Legal 500 and other peer-reviewed rankings.

In addition to his practice as arbitration counsel, David regularly acts as arbitrator and has been listed and/or appointed under the rules of many institutions including the ICC, SIAC (Singapore), HKIAC (Hong Kong), JCAA (Japan), KCAB (Korea) and WIPO. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).

David is admitted to the Utah State Bar (USA) and is registered as an attorney at foreign law with the Daini Tokyo Bar Association.
